Live Oak is a city in Suwannee County that’s an hour away from Jacksonville, one of Florida’s largest cities. With a population of over 6,840 Live Oak residents are able to enjoy a nice rural area with a low cost of living. The median home value is $211, 435 as of 2021, according to Zillow. Live Oak has two major highways that go through it, US Route 129 and 90 which makes it easy for locals to commute to the outer cities.
2. Defuniak Springs, FL
Defuniak Springs is a city in Walton County with a population of over 6,280 residents. The city was once a gated resort built during the Victorian era. The majority of Defuniak Springs residents own their homes and the crime rate is low. The median income is $49,660 with a median housing market price of $235,660 as of 2022 according to RocketHomes.
3. Quincy, FL
Quincy is located in Gadsden County and it’s only thirty minutes away from Tallahassee.
